About Dr. Annie Varvaryan
Welcome to my "About Me" and thank you for your interest in wanting to learn more about me. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 30402) who enjoys helping people meet their personal and professional goals. I am cofounder and director of Couch Conversations Psychotherapy and Counseling, Inc.
I am a California native who did most of my education and training in Southern California. I obtained my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) from Pepperdine University, an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program. I also earned my Master’s of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University. I completed my Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
After graduating with my doctorate, I decided to move up to the Bay Area to get additional training with my postdoctoral residency. When I obtained my license, I started my transition into private practice and began working with individuals, couples, and families.
I started developing a speciality of working with individuals from big technology companies and focused on issues related to anxiety at work, anxiety in social situations, difficulty with coworkers and supervisors, and work-related stress.
At this time, I am working with all of my clients virtually due to COVID-19. As a result, I am able to serve individuals, couples and families from both Los Angeles and its surrounding areas as well as the Bay Area remotely. You can learn about virtual therapy services in my blog.
