About Dr. Annie Varvaryan

Thank you for your interest in learning more about me and my practice. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. I have extensive training and experience in working with clients who need a little extra boost in reaching and obtaining their goals. My clients are often working professionals in the Silicon Valley who have many gifts and talents and have found ways of reaching success. I use therapy sessions to assist these clients in propelling their success in reaching their personal and professional goals by learning how to better manage any symptoms that may get in the way of their goals.

I obtained my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) from Pepperdine University, an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program. I also earned my Master’s of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University. I completed my Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Throughout the course of my training, I have gained experience working with different clinical populations, diagnoses and treatment modalities, across a variety of settings. Such experience includes working in a correctional facility, inpatient hospital, multiple community mental health settings, and intensive outpatient services in a medical outpatient setting. I completed an APA accredited internship at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, and a postdoctoral residency at the Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center.

In a world where there are multiple demands on your life, it could seem overwhelming to have to deal with just one more thing—YOUR EMOTIONS. You’ve probably realized, however, that making the time and space to deal with your emotions is a necessary and essential part of helping you deal with life’s other demands and reaching your goals. Taking the time to learn how to deal with your emotions could be the first step toward opening doors to opportunities that may have felt previously unattainable.

In the Specialties section, I describe my approach to dealing with common mental health issues. Please feel free to explore each section, or find the ones that are relevant for you.

Currently, I am providing therapy to individuals, couples and families, serving both adults and adolescents.
